Sweet Tooth

Hi Guys

Hope you are all well.

If you could make one simple change in your diet to help you melt fat, sleep better, and improve your memory… wouldn’t you do it? What if that same simple dietary change could increase your energy, conquer depression, save your eyesight, restore your mental alertness, get your bedroom energy rockin’, and increase your lifespan?

This may sound too good to be true. But it’s not. And you don’t have to take drugs. Nor do you have to try some newfangled experimental supplements. Or stop eating. Or even give up the foods you love.

It’s as simple as reducing the amount of sugar you eat.

This is not a trick. I said you don’t have to give up the foods you love. And that includes sweets. You can actually give up sugar and keep your sweet tooth happy. This is the greatest health secret of all time. And I’m gonna teach you how to incorporate it into your life.

Before I tell you how, I want you to know just why you should give up sugar.

It’s not just because of all the aforementioned benefits. It’s because sugar can have serious health consequences.

Have you ever been plagued by hard-to-diagnose health problems? You know something is wrong, but your doctor can’t seem to figure out what’s causing them? You…

  • can’t lose weight, no matter how hard you exercise or diet
  • feel depressed, even though you’re typically a happy person
  • can’t get a solid night’s sleep
  • feel sluggish at work
  • lack mental focus
  • have lost your libido
  • suffer from rising blood pressure

Well, it’s not all in your head. It could be your sugar addiction.

My six-year-old can recite all the dangers of sucrose (table sugar) in a matter of two minutes. She can also warn you of the risks associated with those artificial sweeteners in pretty packets. And because she still likes to get her “sweet fix,” she can tell you which natural sweeteners are best to use in tea, cookies, and cake. Not bad, considering that the self-appointed custodians of our health - physicians - are totally clueless about the sweetener epidemic that is sabotaging us.

If a first grader can master the problems with sugar and understand how to choose the right alternatives, you can too.

We all have the need to get a sweet fix. It’s part of our biological makeup. When consumed, sweets elicit a chemical cascade of events that lead to the triggering of feel-good receptors within the brain. If this happens repeatedly, an emotional bond between happiness and sugar is formed. We become fully dependent on sweets.

Sugar addiction is best illustrated by children who break down with temper tantrums if not given sugar, women who consume chocolate in times of stress, and men who suck down soda to make it through the “afternoon blues.” In a study comparing the addictive properties of sweeteners, saccharin and sucrose proved more addictive than cocaine!

The irony is that your body doesn’t actually need any sugar. What you do need is glucose for energy. And you can obtain it from fruit and vegetables.

If left unchecked, an addiction to sweets spikes blood sugar and the fat-storing hormone insulin, disrupts satiety (causing users to overeat), and gives rise to age-accelerating molecules known asAGE products(advanced glycation end products). These aging molecules are responsible for causing wrinkles and age-related blindness, as well as premature heart attacks and stroke.

Over time, “sweetener addiction” leads to the hard-to-diagnose symptoms listed above, and a host of dreaded diseases like insulin resistance, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. To avoid the sabotage, you must understand how to get your sweet fix without becoming addicted.

Years ago, people didn’t eat much sugar - as little as 10-15 pounds per year. And their health was much better for it. As time passed and sugar production became easier, people gave into their sweet cravings and began to overindulge. Today, the average consumption of sugar is a whopping 160 pounds! It’s suicide in slow motion. Sugar addicts eliminate 11-20 years from their lifespan.

Few people realize how much sugar they are putting into their body. They are simply giving into an addiction while slowly ruining their health. To judge whether or not you are at risk, read your food labels for one day and count how many grams of sugar you are eating. But that doesn’t mean you should replace sucrose with artificial sweeteners to get your sweet fix. Artificial sweeteners are nothing more than drugs in disguise. Splenda is a perfect example.

Splenda contains the drug sucralose. Invented in a pesticide lab, this chemical is 600 times sweeter than sugar. To make sucralose, chlorine is used. Chlorine has a split personality. It can be harmless or it can be life threatening. In combo with sodium, chlorine forms a harmless ionic bond to yield table salt. When used with carbon, the chlorine atom in sucralose forms a covalent bond. The end result is deadly organochlorine, known simply as RNFOC (a Really Nasty Form of Chlorine). Unlike ionic bonds, covalently bound chlorines are a big no-no for the human body. They yield insecticides, pesticides, and herbicides - not something you want in your sports drink or your child’s lunchbox.

Think aspartame (Equal, Nutrasweet) is safe? Think again. As an organic chemistry teaching assistant, I taught my students how to identify the active ingredients in soda using a technique known as TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography). The byproducts of sodas containing aspartame are all known poisons (that would slowly kill you): methanol, phenylalanine, and aspartic acid. I never saw my students with a diet soda after that.

Safe alternatives to artificial sweeteners are abundant: erythritol, stevia, agave, xylitol and luo han guo.

Choosing which natural sweetener to use depends on which one tastes best to you. Agave nectar usually wins. It stimulates taste buds exactly the same way sucrose does. But unlike common table sugar, very little of its active ingredient - inulin - is absorbed. Therefore, you are protected from the dangers of sugar addiction.

As a “nectar,” agave is a bit harder to bake with. This is where erythritol wins.

All natural sweeteners are known to help control appetite, keep insulin and blood sugar low, and prevent the formation of AGE products. None of them are addicting, nor will they diminish your lifespan.

So check what you are eating guys.

Until next time

Creative Visualization….See your potential

Hi everybody

Creative Visualization….See your potential
I don’t know about you but I have tried all sorts of things to be more creative and enhance my learning and I am a big fan of self development that can help to bring your goals nearer to being accomplished. One of the techniques I use is visualization. When practising visualization it is key to use creative visualization often, hence make it a regular part of your life. Most people seem to find that it works best to practice it at least a little every day, especially when they are first learning. I suggest that you have a regular creative visualization meditation period for fifteen minutes or so each morning when you wake up, and each evening before sleeping (these are the times when it is most effective), as well as the middle of the day if you can manage that. Always start your meditation periods with deep relaxation, then follow with any visualizations or affirmations you wish.

There are many different ways that creative visualization can be used, and it’s up to you to remember to try them at appropriate times. Conscious creative visualization may mean a new way of thinking and a new way of living. As such, it will take some practice.

Try it out in different situations and under different circumstances, and use it as often as you can for any type of problem-solving. If you find yourself worried or puzzled about anything, or feeling discouraged or frustrated about a problem, ask yourself if there is a way you could use creative visualization to help you. Form a creative habit of using it at every appropriate moment.

Don’t feel discouraged if you don’t immediately feel totally successful with your creative visualization. Remember that most of us have years of negative thought patterns to overcome. It takes time to change some of these lifelong habits. And many of us have some underlying feelings and attitudes that can slow us down in our efforts to live more consciously.

Fortunately, creative visualization is such an innately powerful process that even five minutes of conscious, positive meditation can balance out hours, days, even years of negative patterns.

So be patient. It has taken a lifetime to create your world the way it is now. It may not necessarily change instantly (although it often does). With perseverance and a proper understanding of the process, you will succeed in creating what seem like many miracles in your life.

Two things I have found most important in my growth process with creative visualization are:

1. Regular reading of inspiring and supportive books that help to keep me in touch with my highest ideals and aspirations and/or that can give me encouragement through difficult times. I usually keep a book by my bed and read a page or two each day.

2. Having a friend or (ideally) a community of friends who are also tuned into learning to live more consciously and who will support you and help you in your efforts. Attending regular or occasional consciousness classes or workshops, support groups or therapy, can be an important way of getting this type of support, and giving it to others as well.

There are many different techniques, ideas, exercises, and meditations. Choose the ones that feel right to you and seem to work for you. There are many different levels and approaches to the creative visualization process, and I have tried to include a wide variety of possible practices. In any given situation, one may be appropriate and another may not. Follow the flow of your own energy, and use the ones that you feel drawn to.

For example, in a certain situation you may try to do affirmations and find that you simply can’t repeat them, or you don’t feel they are accomplishing anything. In that case you might want to try a clearing process, or get in touch with your inner guidance and ask for clarification, or just let go for a while and focus on other things.

What works at one time may not at another; what works for one person may not for another. Always trust yourself and your own deepest intuitive feelings.

If it feels like you are forcing, pushing, exerting effort, or straining, don’t do it.

If it feels helpful, releasing, opening, strengthening, enlivening, inspiring, do it.

I am no expert when it comes to this technique so if you want to find out more there are some great books on amazon which are really great at explaining things in more detail.

Until next time.

Personal Freedom!!

Hi Everybody

Not sure about you but I sometimes feel that our everyday freedoms and liberties are slowly being eroded away.

There is the soaring eagle,a classic symbol of freedom – but the eagle doesn‘t know this – it‘s merely acting as an integral part of the workings of nature. Its soaring and instinctive ability to ride the winds and thermals is as natural as is walking to us.

Our freedom too, could be equally illusionary, for freedom to us individually is based really on nothing other than subjective preference and choice. What is freedom for one person, could be a prison for someone else. Real freedom, really, is the freedom to be able to make choices. Our choices, however, are limited by the workings of the human world, in a similar sense that the eagle‘s choices are limited by the laws of nature.

The world is ruled by governments, by politics, by legislation, by rules and regulations, by finance, by cultures, by the laws of supply and demand, by the movements of commerce. All these are energies like the winds of nature, and it is how we ride these energies that allow us to fulfil, or not, our wishes and make our choices that ultimately deliver to us our personal idea of freedom.

The eagle starts learning early to become a master of the air – it could be called the art of synthesis – that is the combination of natural laws and a raptor, which produces a master of the air to be admired and revered for its prowess and its skill.

The eagle could not achieve this without the laws of nature and vice versa. The same holds true for us. Whether we are for or against anything in the civilized world is really subjective. What is objective is the fact that the machinations of civilization work in certain ways, and it is our observances of these energies, and actions through personal mastery and informed choices that allow us to survive, prosper, and live what we personally deem to be a free and fulfilling life.

Again, it is the art of synthesis: becoming a master of our world by working with the environ-mental energies of our civilization. To do this we must also be able to adapt, be versatile, and move with the shifting currents. Nothing is static – so keeping current is the key to being able to make the right decisions at the right time. Always… freedom will be a work in progress.

An early indication of how our freedoms are being slowly eroded away is the new Terminal 5 at London Heathrow airport with the introduction of Biometrics…or how you are able to get parking fines from being seen on a camera..is it really justified.. What do you think?

See you next time

eBay banning digital download products

Hi Everybody

No doubt you have probably heard the news that eBay is banning digital down load products.

eBay will no longer be allowing digital download of goods of any type as from 31st March 2008.

The reason, they say, is to prevent people offering digital download products with intention to manipulate feedback points.

It sometimes happened that people would buy, or sell, hundreds of digital items, literally for pennies or cents apiece, and grow feedback of hundreds or even thousands of points within days. That high positive feedback score was used by a tiny few to fool other buyers into considering them trustworthy individuals, whereupon they’d use all this credibility to sell high price items on eBay with no intention of ever fulfilling orders received before their crimes were discovered and they were finally expelled from eBay.

Notice, however, that digital items can still be promoted using eBay Classified Ads or processed on CD or other physical option.

This is not a problem of any kind, not for the serious entrepreneur who will find many ways to turn another man’s problem to his advantage.

So keep your chin up.

Hitting your goals..

Hi

Hope  you are all well.

How do you start your day?

Years ago I started planning mine by writing everything down I would have to do, the night before.  I found that drawing up your list the night before prompts your subconscious to work on your plans and goals while you sleep. When you wake up, you feel ready to tackle your challenges. When prioritizing and planning your time, consider the following points:

What is the highest value-added action I can do?
What can I and only I do that I’ve done well before to make a difference?
Why am I on the payroll?
The answers to these questions help identify all that needs to be done and in what order.  That, in turn, will bolster personal productivity.

Decide what’s important to you, and in what order. Make sure your values don’t conflict with work. Energy spent worrying diminishes your abilities.

Every action has consequences - good and bad.  Consider what rewards you’d reap by completing a task. Then, compare those rewards with the consequences of putting it aside. This process makes it easier to see which goals have a higher value.

 The Pareto Principle.

Vilfredo Pareto, a 19th-century engineer, argued that 20% of what you do accounts for 80% of the value. When considering the importance of a task, ask yourself whether it’s among the 20% that creates the most value.

Is it urgent or important?

An unexpected phone call or a drop-in visitor may be urgent, but the consequences of dealing with either may not be important in the long run. The urgent is other-oriented, it’s caused by someone else.

Important things are self-directed and have the greatest value for you.

Standing between you and what you want to achieve is the limiting step.

That’s the bottleneck that determines how quickly you can reach your goal. It’s important to identify that step and focus single-mindedly on getting that one thing done.

A plan.

Lists of goals, tasks and objectives are of no help unless they’re written. Putting your plans on paper makes a seemingly elusive goal more concrete. There’s a connection that takes place between the brain and the hand. When you don’t write it down, it’s fuzzy, but as you write it and revise it, it becomes clear.

See it, believe it..

See yourself doing what you need to get done. Visualization trains the subconscious to focus on completing tasks. Say, for example, that you want to begin each morning by exercising.  Visualizing yourself doing sit-ups and push-ups the night before conditions the mind to do those the next day. When you prime you mind, it wakes you up even before the alarm clock goes off.

Remember you are a winner and preparation goes a long way in helping you achieve all your goals.

So keep plugging away.

Until next time

Watch your man …ladies !!

Hi Everybody

This post is mainly aimed at the ladies and it sort of came about when I had a female friend asking questions about her relationship with her Guy. But guys pay attention as well!!!

So to all the ladies out there, this is about one of the biggest Red Flag warning signs you could ever have in your relationship with a man.

As time has gone on in your relationship, are you and your man SHARING LESS in the way of your inner-most thoughts and feelings?

RED FLAG.

Your entire relationship could be in danger right now, and you wouldn’t even know it.

Men are unfortunately good at being able to keep their feelings to themselves.

That is, until he “drops the bomb” at the last minute about what he’s really feeling.

Or he makes up one of those typical male excuses like- “I never really loved you.”

What is that!?

Amazingly, I’ve heard of LOTS of men saying this exact thing, and other things like it.

And I’d like to share with you what they really mean when they say it.

If you don’t know what a man really means when he says something like this, then it’s likely to send you off the deep-end emotionally.

And that’s when things really do start to fall apart as a result.

It doesn’t have to be this way, if you don’t want it to.

Do you want to live this way- waiting for the other shoe to drop at any time?

And do you really know what the man in your life is thinking and feeling about you and your relationship right now?

And most importantly…

Are you picking up on subtle tips, clues and body language from him that you don’t fully understand… but you know it’s not good?

If so, don’t stay in the dark a minute longer.

You need to know how to stop your man from acting distant and unintentionally staying disconnected from you.

Odds are, as in 90% of relationships, this is the real source of the problems you’re having.

*Hint- if you make “fixing” your relationship feel like a lot of work to a man, he’s going to RESIST all the way no matter how much he used to love you.

For all you guys reading this, you have a part to play as well….as the saying goes it takes two to tango!!

Sorry if it seems harsh but thats how it is in real life.

For all you guys out there that want to avoid these sort of situations and give your lady the best time ever. Anyday now I will be publishing my latest book that will show you how to give your lady..or potential ladies the best loving experience ever!!

So keep checking out my blog..this is where you will see it first.

E-book Tips

Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well. Sometimes we need a bit of inspiration, here a couple of quotes I came across.

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. - Eleanor Roosevelt, 1884-1962, American Humanitarian and Former First Lady of the United States.

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life. - Wayne Dyer, American Psychotherapist/Author/Lecturer.

One of the things that I enjoy doing in my spare time is writing short stories and sometimes articles about things that I enjoy doing. Its also a good way of starting out in writting  and you could even end up writting your first e-book this way.

You can break an e-book/article or even an ezine into a four components and everything you need to do falls within these four steps.

1.Content: Give away valuable information for free.

2.Formatting: Make your article/e-book look nice and easy to read.

3.Distribution: Send it out electronically, so its received quickly and efficiently.

4.List Building: Constantly work on building your list.

The most important thing about articles and e-books is the content especially if it is going to be free, because you can give things away free but if the content is not useful to anybody or helpful…you will not even be able to give it away for free.

So if for example you want to promote something you are doing..a good way is giving away a free e-book/reportor article to promote your product, it must at least have 85% useful worthwhile information that the reader could benefit from and 15% to promote your product. I would always try to make the useful content at least 90% so the reader does not feel that a sales message is being pushed down their throat.

The content is king on the web. It does not matter what sort of business you are in if you want to sell on the web you need to do it through your content. The term for this is Marketing with content, it is one of the most succesful ways of attracting potential customers to your business.

One of the best ways is to have your own free news letter to send out content to potential customers. Always make what ever you write exciting, interesting and useful for your audience, so that they want to stay subscribed to your newsletter.

If you have a skill or knowledge about about a particular field, use that knowledge to help and inform people, they will find useful and helpful.

For example if you are a gym instructor, write about healthy eating and exercising…you get the idea.

Thanks

ken Livinstone..says No to Bikers in Bus Lanes…!!!

 Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well.

I bet you are wondering why is Zahid talking about bus lanes and motor bikes, well I have got a motor bike licence and it is something that has been bit of a passion all my life. But When I read about this…I just thought it was a load of rubbish.

Taxi cabs, vans etc are using bus lanes but NOT BIKES…Maaad it is!!! bikes are one of the least polluting forms of transport and in london especially is a excellent quick way of getting around the traffic…so saves a lot of time.

Here is a extract of the article, if you want more bike info you can go to MCN, a great informative bike site.

London Mayor Ken Livingstone announced today he will not open bus lanes to motorcycles.

The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) said the move condemned both motorcyclists and cyclists to unsafe roads.

A leaked report on a trial of motorcycles in bus lanes on three London routes had stated that collisions fell by 42 per cent for all road users.

But the mayor’s office today published a “final” version of the report with all reference to the 42 per cent drop in collisions removed.

The mayor’s office claimed the new version “provided no clear evidence of safety benefits to motorcyclists and potential dis-benefits to pedestrians and cyclists”.

It said in a statement: “An earlier draft was wrongly claimed by some groups to show significant safety benefits to motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists. In fact, in this draft report a methodology was applied to the trial data that was flawed, providing a misleading set of safety statistics.”

The MCIA accused Livingstone of doctoring the findings to suit his predetermined view.

The Motorcycle Industry Association said in a statement: “Mr Livingstone was presented with a final draft of the report before Christmas, which showed a very clear and in some cases a dramatic safety improvement for cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists… Since the un-tampered report was leaked, Mr Livingstone has been attempting to rubbish it as not fit for purpose.”

Craig Carey-Clinch, the MCIA’s policy director, added: “The findings of the real report were clearly not fit for his pre-determined view that he didn’t want motorcycles in bus lanes.

It just makes my blood boil, all this silly red tape.So whats your opinion on this good or bad feel free to leave any comments.

Until next time.

Free Article Marketing Tips

 Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well.

Articles are a very popular and easy way of getting traffic to your blog or website. Articles are popular because Search Engines, Internet Marketers, website owners, and ezine publishers are craving  for fresh, qualitycontent.

Here a few tips that I picked up which you can use in your article marketing campaigns.

Tip One, Is that if you write the article on a topic related to the content of a page on your website, then the directory will do all the SEO work and get your article listed so as to get as many visitors as possible. That earns them money. What that means to you is that you get free SEO done on your article. Why do you think that your articles have to be of a minimum length and of a certain standard? To be listed by search engines, especially Google, that’s why. You can use this information to your advantage, but your articles must be at least 500 words. Your resource URL must be one related to the article, and if you make it your blog, that is even better. Place links on your blog to all your other relevant online ventures.Tip Two, Is not really a secret as technique’s go but , when you have finished writing your article save it and submit it as a text file. Most people write using Microsoft word, or some other word processing software that uses their own formatting code embedded in the article. You don’t see it, but the search engines do and it could harm the listing of the directory web page containing your article.

Tip Three, is that many sites offer two or three links in the author’s resource. That allows you not only to present links to two or three pages on your website, but also that these links need not all be from the same site. You could provide a link to a page relating to the article, a link to one of your other websites or to your blog URL. Always try to keep your mind open to all possibilities.

I hope those few pointers are a start point to allow you to use them as SEO techniques that will improve your chances of a high search engine listing. Learn them and use them, and even if you think that they seem fairly obvious. It’s how you use them that matters , as probably nobody is using all of them in their article marketing campaigns, at the same time, all of the time.

So until next time.

Zahid
